SJMVS'S Girls High School was inaugurated by of his Holiness late Shri Manmaharaj Niranjan Jagadguru Dr Gangadhar Rajayogeendra Mahaswamiji, Moorusavirmath, Hubli in 1965 and now blessed by his Holiness Shri Manmaharaj Niranjan Jagadguru Shri Gurusidda Rajayogeendra Mahaswamiji and managed by eminent and efficient members of SJMVS'S Management. Later on, well known Industrialist Shri R N Shetty sponsored the construction of a new building and it was inaugurated on 2nd June 1992. The school was named after his wife Smt. Sudha R Shetty Girls High School.
The school has NCC unit for girls. Every year 30 to 40 girls enroll for NCC. The school follows Karnataka State Syllabus which gives equal importance to both curricular and co-curricular activities.
The main objective of the school is to prepare the students to become intelligent, smart, fruitful and service minded citizens of the country by giving them the all-round value based meaningful productive support in education, moral ethics and extracurricular activities in which they can establish themselves in the society with pride.
